Medical Coder
North Country Orthopaedic Group seeks a certified Medical Coder to join our team. This position is FT and is ONSITE.  The Medical Coder coordinates the processing of fees for professional services provided to patients within multiple clinical areas for the purpose of reimbursement. Analyzes patient medical records to assure that documentation by providers conforms to legal and procedural requirements.  Assigns specific codes to medical diagnosis and/or clinical procedures.  Interacts with physician and other providers regarding billing and documentation policies and procedures.  2-3 years’ experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.  Must have certification in medical coding or related field. Must have strong working knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9-CM, ICD- 10 and CPT coding principles in the assignment and sequencing of diagnostic and procedure billing codes.  Must have strong analytical skills and be able to research and resolve inquiries.  Must have strong work ethic. Medical Transcriptionist
North Country Orthopaedic Group seeks an experienced and professional Medical Transcriptionist to join our team.  This is an ONSITE position.  You will produce quality transcription of patient visit notes and narratives, as well as perform many other miscellaneous requests to be transcribed.  HS diploma is required as well as 2-3 years proven experience of transcription.  Certification in Medical Transcription is highly preferred.  Must be able to effectively operate a computer, calculator, typewriter, transcription unit and fax machine.  Must have outstanding knowledge of medical terminology.  Ability to work independently is required as well as the ability to utilize medical reference materials.  Excellent organizational and time management skills is required.  We offer excellent pay and benefits are available to our PT staff. Medical Front Desk Receptionist

North Country Orthopaedic Group seeks applicants for the position of full time Medical Front Desk Receptionist. This position is onsite. We seek individuals who have excellent communication and problem-solving skills; must be able to work well with our patients and co-workers. This person must be dynamic and able to learn multi functions to include greeting and checking patients in, scheduling patients for appointments, answering/directing telephone calls, scanning/printing/faxing reports, and other duties. Candidate must be proficient in computer skills and be able to work both independently and with a team. HS Diploma required with an AAS in business or related field preferred. 2-3 years prior medical office experience is highly preferred. Hours are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM but must be able to work some early evenings on a rotating basis. Excellent compensation/benefit package. EOE

We seek an individual who has excellent communication skills and is able to work well with patients, providers and co-workers. This person must be dynamic and able to schedule appointments within established time slots according to the provider’a schedule. Must be detailed oriented and be able to obtain and access patient information accurately and efficiently. Candidate must be proficient in computer skills and be able to work independently. Position hours include working Monday through Friday with occasional evenings. HS Diploma required with an AAS in business or related field preferred. Must have 2-3 years office experience. North Country Orthopaedic Group seeks a Surgery Scheduling Nurse to join our team. This position is responsible for planning patient surgeries and communicating the details of the surgeries to our patients, staff and physicians. Additionally, she/he will review and prepare physician schedules on a daily basis. Must have a Certified Medical Assistant degree (NYS certification) with basic computer skills and medical terminology knowledge. Must have exceptional telephone etiquette, good communication and organization skills, and the ability to work in a fast pace, team-based, multi-skilled work environment while working with the public, physicians, and staff. Medical Assistant
North Country Orthopaedic Group seeks Medical Office Assistants to work in our orthopaedic medical practice. This is a position that combines office experience with face to face contact with patients. If you enjoy working in a medical environment, but not chained to a desk, and you are skilled at communicating with patients and providers and entering data into the electronic medical record, this may be a position for you.
